Movement as Medicine: An Introduction to Yoga for Nervous System Resilience
This workshop is a gentle entry point into how yoga can deepen our capacity to feel grounded, nourished, and at ease in our bodies. Together, we’ll explore invitational asana, dynamic movement, restorative posture, and breath practices designed to honor our bodies as altars — our first homes — and create a felt sense of safety from the inside out.
This class is especially for women-identifying bodies who are curious about how yoga can be practiced in a way that honors choice, respects individual needs, and welcomes all levels of experience. You don’t need flexibility or prior yoga background — just a willingness to slow down and listen inward.
What to Expect
This 60-minute session includes a short welcome and reflection followed by a gentle yoga practice (about 15 minutes of conversation, 45 minutes of movement and breath).
What to Bring
Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. Mats and props will be available, but you’re welcome to bring your own mat, blanket, or journal if that helps you feel more at home.
Come as you are, bring all of yourself, and leave with practices you can carry into daily life — and discover how movement can truly be medicine.
